PAL INTERNATIONAL JOINS SOFHT AS SUPPORTING COMPANY MEMBER

Pal_Master_logo_strapline-transparentThe Society of Food Hygiene & Technology (SOFHT) has continued to expand its high-profile food industry membership with the appointment of Pal International Ltd as a Supporting Company Member.

Established in 1970, Pal is a market leader in single use hygiene work wear, disinfectant wiping products for the food, beverage and industrial sectors and is active in food manufacturing, food service and HORECA.

With a continued commitment to UK manufacturing, Pal has invested in state of the art production facilities at its Lutterworth site, enabling it to develop and manufacture market leading products that are sold under its Pal, Pal TX and Pal Tech brands.

Accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CE, ISO 14001 as well as achieving BRC and Halal accreditation, Pal works with some of the biggest food manufacturers in the world from confectionery to meat processors to dairies and dry foods processors to tea and coffee producers across the UK and Europe. The company ships its wiping products to over 60 countries worldwide and has a commercial office in Dubai as well as a logistics and QA office in Hong Kong and warehousing in Shanghai, China.

Established by SOFHT in 2003, Supporting Company Membership was set up as part of a major drive to enlist the support of larger organisations within the food manufacturing, retailing and related industries.

The membership maximises the services provided to members, such as seminars and training events as well as helping to enhance SOFHT’s position as ‘the voice of food hygiene’. The role the Society does, and can play, in helping the development in food safety management across the industry has been acknowledged by these supporting companies.

Commenting on becoming a SOFHT Supporting Company Member, Richard Fell Business Development Manager – UK and Europe, Food & Beverage at Pal said:

“Having been a member of SOFHT for only a relatively short time, it has been clear that the support offered and the events hosted across the UK by SOFHT really engage with the industry: they are relevant and get people talking. For Pal to be involved with SOFHT at the very top level will help make sure that we can get involved at the start of important industry initiatives and put our business skills and insight to good use, helping shape the future of hygiene within the food and beverage sector”.
