Budgens has been a firmly established food retailer for over 125 years
and is recognised for its support of Local Producers and Great Local
Deals in the community. Budgens stores now cover more than 25 counties,
including London, with over 800,000 square feet of retail sales space,
6,000 staff and serves over 80 million customers a year. Stores are
adapted to meet the varying lifestyles, locations and shopping needs of
the customer ranging from 1500 square feet convenience stores, to petrol
forecourts to 10,000 square feet primary shopping locations.
In July 2002 Budgens was successfully acquired by The Musgrave Group -
Irelands largest food and grocery distributor and along with Londis
makes up Musgrave Budgens Londis.
