This presentation will deal with what you can expect when Trading Standards arrive unexpectedly at your premises to investigate an offence under the Food Safety Act 1990. We will also cover the Fraud Act and the Proceeds of Crime Act. It will be focussed on the practical issues of the investigation.
- Powers – what they can and can’t do. Taking of evidence and samples. What is obstruction?
- Process – Record keeping, pocket book interviews and evidence storage.
- Prosecutions – Local authority policies, FSA funding, sentencing options.
This forum will discuss Powers, Process and Prosecutions led by Bryan Scatchard from NSF International
