BRC Packaging Global Standard – Major Changes Coming

Topic to be discussed:
Terry will lead a discussion on the current BRC Global Standard for packaging and packaging materials used within the food industry, and bring forward some key points from proposed changes to this standard. Indications are that some of the changes will be very radical ones and this is a great opportunity to find out what is on the horizon and for delegates to share some good working practices in how they are complying and achieving the current standard and what changes may need to be made in light of these changes.
Whilst it’s often the changes to legislation in relation to the actual foods that get the focus of attention, changes in the BRC for the packaging will also potentially impact significantly on all sorts of food businesses.
