SOFHT Relaunches Level 2 Introduction to Food Safety Training Package

Our popular level 2 food safety training course has been designed specifically for companies wanting to train their own staff on site.
Developed in association with Highfield Qualifications – the leading awarding organisation for food safety qualifications – this flexible Level 2 Food Safety training course can be adapted to suit your business’s individual needs and has recently been updated to include Ofqual regulated examinations and allergen awareness content that covers recent legislative changes.
The training allows your staff to be trained on-site in a classroom format using a combination of adaptable interactive presentations and DVDs, all of which can be tailored according to your business’s requirement or training focus.
And to keep costs down, the programme has been designed to be delivered in-house, provided that the trainer has undergone level 4 food safety training, has a train-the-trainer certificate and has Highfield tutor approval.
This means you can provide your key employees with the knowledge and skills to train colleagues in their own work environment – which has been proven to increase levels of retention – rather than spending time and money off-site.
SOFHT has also introduced allergen training to the programme in a DVD format, meaning your colleagues will be up-to-date with recent allergen legislation. Using footage from a real food manufacturing environment, the DVD enables staff to understand the allergen content effectively, including the awareness of allergen cross contamination, correct segregation and colour coding.
