The Food Standards Agency acknowledges that the current regulatory framework is outdated and the Agency has committed to introducing a new model which is flexible and which recognises the diversity of the modern food industry. It promises to recognize the extent to which many companies invest in compliance so that valuable resource can be focused in high risk areas and the UK food industry is equipped for trade outside the EU.

Our guests will explore the implications for all sectors of the food industry, the value of independent assurance schemes and the potential for self-regulation.

The Food Standards Agency will be represented by a senior member of the “Regulating Our Future” programme.

Confirmed speakers are Helen Buckingham, Assistant Director, Regulatory Delivery, The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Richard Webster, Head of Safety and Security, Travelodge Hotels.

Places are limited to 25 delegates to ensure that this remains an intimate and informative 1/2 day programme for all.
