- Advise the business on microbiological related situations
- Scan the horizon for emerging trends, risks and opportunities
- Manage Asda's external laboratory relationship
- Adopt a joined-up ‘global’ approach

As part of the Technical Governance team in our Legal Department, you’ll play a key role in representing, advising and driving the business forward in relation to microbiological risks and opportunities. Liaising with a wide variety of influential internal and external bodies you’ll play a big part in shaping Asda’s future.
To meet this exciting challenge, you’ll need to be:
- A qualified Microbiologist experienced in manufacturing and/or retail
- Skilled in writing policies and procedures in plain language
- An excellent communicator with real influencing skills
- Passionate about delivering the best outcome for the business
While your focus will primarily be food product, you’ll also have an input in to the microbiological issues in non-food.
