Position: Quality Controller
Location: Barking Essex

Strong, self motivated individual wanted to assist in monitoring and maintaining the Company's Food Safety system. Must have good written & organisation skills with the ability to communicate the message to employees of all levels.

The company specialises in the production and distribution of prepared fruits and vegetables across England.

The person will be assisting and monitoring the Quality system and BRC accreditation, which includes all documentation, associated with it.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of food safety and quality management systems. Good communication and problem solving skills and use of own initiative with pro-active approach. Any added exposure to the production sector (food industry) would be beneficial.

Reporting to Operations Manager, you will be required but not limited to:

  • Undertake routine quality control paperwork (checks) at production site
  • Manage product specifications.- writing, reading, understanding and updating
  • Monitor the hygiene of the factory, including equipment and take necessary corrective action where required.
  • Train and monitor all staff on personal hygiene practices during production
  • Monitor and maintain HACCP procedures.
  • Review and update all necessary documents when the process changes.
  • Manage internal audits across the company

Desirable requirements:

HND / Degree in food related subject or person with production experience wanting to further their career.

Salary : negotiable
