Job Title: Retail & Supply Chain Food Safety Manager
Location: Holborn, Central London
Salary: Up to £35,000 basic plus benefits
We are currently looking to recruit a Retail & Supply Chain Food Safety Manager to join the Sainsbury's Food Safety Team. The team are responsible for protecting Sainsbury's reputation and brand by ensuring we have effective food safety throughout the supply chain (from Supplier, to Distribution & through to Store).
This role sits within a team of 6 staff reporting into the Food Safety Team Manager. The Retail & Supply Chain Food Safety Manager is primarily responsible for operational food safety and will involve:
- Providing expert food safety advice to Retail & Supply Chain
- Reviewing & updating food safety procedures
- Completing Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) verification
There will be potential development opportunities in completing safety assessments on new and reformulated products.
We are ideally looking for candidates from the following backgrounds:
- Duty/Department Managers within Food Retail with knowledge of Product Safety / License to Trade
- Technical Managers within the food industry with knowledge of Product/Food Safety
Candidates must be self-motivated and possess strong communication/influencing skills. Candidates must be flexible to travel to sites throughout the UK.
