St Hubert

Position: Technical Manager

St. Hubert Foods (UK) Ltd is an EFSIS accredited food storage and distribution company based in Tottenham, and is looking to recruit a full time Technical Manager. The successful applicant will manage the technical function in order to achieve required standards of quality, GMP and process control, according to company policies and procedures, customer requirements and legislation.

Role and key responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of EFSIS/BRC Storage & Distribution certification
  • Development and maintenance of company HACCP system, including relevant training where required
  • Involvement in monitoring, investigating and trending of complaint data and initiating action plans to reduce the incidence of complaints in line with company KPI's.
  • Involvement in ensuring the site and system records are prepared prior to technical/customer visits and audits. Active involvement in audits and preparation of corrective action plans.
  • Ensuring internal audits are conducted according to schedule, and non conformances are followed through to satisfactory completion
  • Enforcing GMP along with monitoring of staff, to ensure awareness of technical/quality procedures and that they are being adhered to.
  • Control and issue of product specifications and other relevant technical information for all products supplied to customers.

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Experience of working within a food based environment, ideally within retail or storage & distribution. However, food manufacturing experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and procedures e.g. EFSIS, BRC.
  • Internal / Lead Auditor qualification
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • Use of own initiative with pro-active approach
  • Analytical approach and attention to detail
  • Desirable requirements:
  • HND/Degree in food related subject e.g. Food Science, Food Technology, Food Management etc.
