Developed in association with Highfield Qualifications – the leading awarding organisation for food safety qualifications – this flexible level 2 food safety training course can be adapted to suit your business’s individual needs and has recently been updated to include Ofqual-regulated examinations and allergen awareness content that covers recent legislative changes.
The training allows your staff to be trained on-site in a classroom format using a combination of adaptable interactive presentations and DVDs, all of which can be tailored according to your business’s requirements or training focus.

To keep costs down, the programme has been designed to be delivered in-house, provided that the trainer has undergone level 4 food safety training, has a train-the-trainer certificate and has Highfield tutor approval.
This means you can provide your key employees with the knowledge and skills to train their colleagues in their own work environment – which has been proven to increase levels of retention – rather than spending time and money off-site.
SOFHT has also introduced a food safety training DVD, covering key topics such as food hygiene awareness, hazards in food, foreign objects, and updated content on allergens amongst others. Using footage from a real food manufacturing environment, the DVD enables staff to understand the content effectively and provides awareness on vital areas of food safety.
Content includes a SOFHT Authorised Trainer Certificate, which is valid for five years and costs £20 plus VAT to renew.
