Company History

The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology is a voluntary organisation set up in 1979 by a group of professional people to represent the interests and views of everyone involved in food hygiene across all disciplines.

 The membership includes a cross-section of people from food organisations and their suppliers bringing together food manufacturers, retailers, caterers, Environmental Health Officers, industry, consultants, research organisations, training bodies and students.

SOFHT is a hub for sharing ideas, viewpoints and best practice through its events, e-communications, and in-house SOFHT Focus magazine.
