The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology presents Dame Prue Leith DBE.

Prue is currently known for her role as a judge on The Great British Bake Off, but she has had a very varied and interesting life.

As an author, restaurateur, campaigner, Directorship of businesses as diverse as British Rail and Whitbread as well as being a fierce advocate of food education. She was Chair of the government’s School Food Trust, responsible for the improvement of school food and food education and for setting up 5000 after-school cookery clubs in state schools.
